Job Purpose:
The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the Service Technicians and coordinating the troubleshooting problems, completing installations, and performing unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance on equipment, based upon customer demand. The Service Manager works under the direction of the General Manager. The Service Manager is responsible to ensure the Service Technicians represent the company core values, perform all duties with safety and customer service being the paramount goal.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions (not all inclusive):
o C-store POS systems
o Electrical equipment/systems
o Minor work on underground systems
o Tank monitoring equipment
o Fleet Fueling Controls
o Scheduled Maintenance
o Factory authorized modifications

Licensure/Certification:

Responsibilities & Essential Functions (not all inclusive):
- Responsible to be the communication point for emergency and non-emergency calls/requests.
- The Service Manager will receive requests, transmit messages, and track vehicles.
- Must be an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed, especially in critical situations.
- Ability to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision.
- Ensures that Service Technicians open and close work orders/tickets to record job cost and service time for accurate invoicing.
- Provides Service Technicians with guidance to effectively analyzes problem situations pertaining to breakdowns of customer equipment and recommends to customer actions necessary to correct situation.
- Understands and can make recommendations on repairs in a professional and productive manner including, but not limited to:
o C-store POS systems
o Electrical equipment/systems
o Minor work on underground systems
o Tank monitoring equipment
o Fleet Fueling Controls
o Scheduled Maintenance
o Factory authorized modifications
- Maintain knowledge on current industry regulations (DEP, EPA, L&I etc.)
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, practices, and safety standards.
- Maintain company vehicles and adhere to all state/local/federal laws and company policies regarding operation of a motor vehicle. Must obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card (if required).
- Attend and participate in all work-related meetings, inventories, and training classes.
- Maintain professional appearance in accordance with the company dress code policy.
- Maintains professional communication and demeanor with vendors, team members and guests.
- Strong commitment to teamwork while being flexible and adaptable to change.
- Follows safety rules and ensures that hazardous waste is disposed of properly.
- Provides service repair narratives (written and verbal) for customer, and submits paperwork for time worked and repairs completed in a neat, accurate and timely manner.
- Maintains part inventory and supplies in vehicle.
- Responsible for maintaining personal tools required for performing the job effectively and safely.
- Responsible for following customer’s safety and housekeeping guidelines when performing repairs at customer site.

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a related trade school program preferred.
- Manufacturer Equipment specific Certifications
- 2-year related experience preferred.
- Proven mechanical and electrical skills.
- Previous experience with aerial lift equipment/cranes is a plus.
- Must have knowledge of tools and equipment used in construction environment.
- Excellent communications, analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to learn and utilize computer applications, smart phone, and ticketing system required.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment testing, including background check, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Licensure/Certification:
- Valid State Driver’s License and reliable transportation is required.
- Must be 18 years old.
